Jalecia Kofi is a Dallas, Texas based Human Resources, Talent Acquisition professional and mental health advocate known for her people-centered approach and commitment to guiding individuals through meaningful career transitions. Currently serving as a recruiter at GEICO, she is dedicated to creating thoughtful, supportive, and empowering hiring experiences that position candidates for long-term success.
With a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a background in Business Administration, Jalecia brings both strategic insight and refined expertise to her work. Her career began in banking before transitioning into human resources, where she quickly established herself as a trusted recruiter and relationship builder. She has contributed to talent initiatives at leading institutions, including CITI and PNC, with a focus on full-cycle recruiting and organizational growth.
Deeply passionate about mental health and personal development, Jalecia is intentionally expanding her impact beyond the corporate space. As a mental health advocate and graduate student pursuing her second master’s degree in Psychology, she is preparing to transition into the field of psychology, where she aspires to support individuals in navigating emotional wellness, identity, and personal growth.
Beyond her corporate career, Jalecia is an entrepreneur and published author. She is the author of I Am a Virtuous Mom, a faith-centered devotional, and the visionary behind Elevé Shapewear, an emerging brand rooted in confidence, self-love, and intentional design, with a highly anticipated Spring 2026 launch.
A devoted wife and mother of two, Jalecia maintains a 4.0 GPA in her current studies. She is also an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.. These affiliations reflect her commitment to academic excellence, leadership, service, and purpose-driven impact. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to faith, discipline, and a commitment to continuous growth. I’ve always been intentional about evolving personally, academically, and professionally while staying grounded in purpose. I also believe in leading with integrity and treating people well, because success is not just about achievement, it’s about impact.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to stay rooted in who you are while you grow into who you’re becoming. It reminded me that success isn’t just about achievement , it’s about alignment, authenticity, and evolving with intention.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to be intentional about their growth and confident in the value they bring. Don’t wait for validation, prepare, stay consistent, and advocate for yourself in every room you enter. Building strong relationships, staying adaptable, and leading with integrity will set you apart. Most importantly, never shrink yourself to fit into a space, evolve and allow your presence to expand it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in talent acquisition right now is balancing technology with human connection. While AI and automation have made recruiting more efficient, maintaining a personalized, people-centered experience is more important than ever. At the same time, there’s a strong opportunity in skills-based hiring focusing on potential and adaptability, which is helping organizations build more diverse, agile, and high-performing teams.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are faith, integrity, and purpose. My faith is the foundation of everything I do it guides my decisions, my interactions, and how I show up in both my work and personal life. I believe in leading with grace, treating others with respect, and trusting God’s direction, even in uncertain seasons. Staying grounded in purpose while continuing to grow has been essential to who I am and how I lead.
