Jaleesa Hatchett (CFNMP) is the founder of Energetically You, a holistic health and wellness practice dedicated to helping individuals align with their true selves and achieve energetic balance. As a Certified Functional and Nutritional Medicine Practitioner, Positive Psychology Practitioner, and Acupressure Practitioner, Jaleesa combines mind-body techniques, chakra balancing, and mindfulness meditation to support clients navigating stress, life transitions, and personal growth. Her approach emphasizes root-cause investigation, empowering individuals with practical tools alongside advanced testing to enhance well-being and extend healthy, vibrant living. Jaleesa’s professional journey began as a pre-med student with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University, followed by experience as a pharmaceutical representative. After taking time to raise her children, she pivoted toward holistic health, drawing from her own personal experiences to guide her work. Over the past seven years, she has honed her expertise in functional medicine, working virtually and now in a collaborative women-focused office environment, integrating nutrition, energy work, and positive psychology to support her clients’ overall vitality. Beyond her clinical work, Jaleesa is passionate about education and community engagement. She actively volunteers and speaks at local women’s shelters and programs, advocating for self-empowerment and holistic well-being. Through Energetically You, she encourages individuals to honor their energy, cultivate harmony in body and mind, and recognize that healing is a shared journey. Her philosophy is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and creating safe spaces where people can thrive physically, emotionally, and energetically.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my diverse background across multiple health and wellness disciplines, including pre-medical studies, functional and nutritional medicine, positive psychology, energy balancing, and acupressure. This broad foundation has shaped my approach, allowing me to empower individuals to address their health holistically, rather than relying on quick fixes. I am committed to guiding people toward sustainable well-being by integrating evidence-based practices with personalized care.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To any young women looking to pursue a career in this field I recommend gaining hands-on experience by shadowing experienced practitioners to truly understand the work. I am also passionate about mentoring and supporting those who are just starting out, helping them navigate challenges and build a strong foundation for success. By working together we help spread awareness about the importance of getting healthy.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Some of the biggest opportunities in the functional medicine field right now:

  1. Root-cause medicine is becoming policy-aligned: A major Medicare innovation model now aims to build evidence for whole-person lifestyle and functional approaches to chronic disease prevention.
  2. Consumer demand for personalization is exploding: Advanced diagnostic testing markets are growing rapidly due to demand for personalized care.
  3. Chronic disease crisis creates massive market pull: Functional medicine’s root-cause model directly targets these drivers. As chronic disease rises, demand grows for models that go beyond symptom suppression.
  4. Telehealth  and technology are unlocking scale: things like telemedicine, AI diagnostics, remote lab testing and wearable health data, are all accelerating adoption and accessibility.
  5. Corporate wellness (untapped market): Healthcare forecasts show employers demanding personalization and preventive care solutions.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are collaboration, empowerment, and service. I deeply value working alongside other women in a supportive environment and appreciate opportunities to make health care accessible, such as having a nurse on-site for lab work. Mentorship is also central to my approach - I strive to inspire and guide others, whether that’s encouraging a college student to pursue a career in nutrition or sharing holistic health practices during speaking engagements at women’s shelters in Longview, Texas.
