About Jalessa
I began my healthcare journey back in 2009, and I've been in that industry for 16 years now. About 4 years ago, I transitioned into tech sales, specifically within the healthcare space, which allows me to leverage my extensive healthcare background. Currently, I work at Milliman MedInsight, where I focus on reaching out to director-level and above executives, including VPs and C-suite leaders at healthcare providers, organizations, and payers like Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana. My main responsibility is to secure meetings for our business development representatives to explore whether our product offerings can help drive revenue within their companies. I earned my bachelor's degree in 2022, which was an important milestone in my professional development. I got my start in tech sales by taking Shelton Banks' boot camp through Rework, a non-profit organization, and I'm proud to be part of the Rework alumni community. I'm also an active member of Sisters in Sales. I had the opportunity to present at my organization's sales kickoff back in 2023, and I'm eager to expand my public speaking to a broader scale. Looking ahead, my vision for the next 5 years is to build my own sales consulting company where I can teach others how to succeed in what I do.
