Her Story
About Jalisa
Jalisa X serves as a bridal assistant and is the founder of her own business, Bridal Connoisseurs, which she launched four years ago in the bridal industry. She earned an associate's degree in broadcasting and journalism from JSU in 2004. Jalisa specializes in helping others and fashion, and she attributes her success to her mother, who instilled a passion for volunteering and community service. This led Jalisa to perform companion work with the geriatric population. She values assisting people by teaching them rather than simply giving. In her field, she identifies the challenge of maintaining positive energy and sees opportunity in her co-partnership with John and Emily, who specialize in master alterations for wedding dresses. Jalisa advises young women entering the industry to not try to be perfect but to just start, and she lives by the principle that one can have a million hats but be perfect in none.
