Jami Alexander is a seasoned fixed operations leader with more than 28 years of experience across automotive dealerships, independent repair shops, fleet operations, and franchise environments. Currently serving as Director of Operations at Dunrite Automotive & Transmission, she oversees daily operations while focusing on operational execution, process improvement, team development, and sustainable business growth. Her extensive career has included leadership roles with Meineke and Jaguar Land Rover of Columbia, giving her broad experience across multiple areas of the automotive service industry.
Throughout her career, Jami has developed a leadership philosophy centered on the belief that people and performance are inseparable. She is recognized for building high-performing teams through consistency, accountability, clear communication, and a people-first approach. Her expertise includes digital inspections, sales processes, KPI performance, operational oversight, training and development, and creating processes that strengthen both customer trust and long-term profitability. Rather than focusing solely on numbers, she emphasizes the behaviors and systems that produce sustainable results.

I attribute my success to hard work, dedication, and persistence. I continue pushing forward, overcoming obstacles, embracing new opportunities, and striving to make a meaningful difference each day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to sit at the head of the table and never be afraid to take my place. I’ve learned not to let others intimidate me, but to stand tall, be confident, and take pride in who I am and what I bring to the table.

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be exceptional and trust yourself. Remember that everyone has a purpose, and focus on taking one step at a time as you build your career and pursue your goals.

With over 28 years of experience as an operations leader across dealerships, independent shops, fleet, and franchise environments, I see opportunities to apply my experience to improve operations, adapt to industry changes, and drive continued growth and efficiency.
