Her Story

About Jamie

My day-to-day work involves processing high-volume applications at Keep Supply, which was recently awarded the number one place to work in the 417 Springfield, Missouri metro area. We also won awards for Healthy Companies and the Great Game of Business, which has put us on the map. This recognition is both a blessing and a curse because the influx of applications has become pretty high. I leverage AI for the administrative side of things, but I prioritize not leaving out the human connection. I spend a lot of my day having real conversations via Google Meet, face-to-face in a virtual setting, to interview people. If candidates don't align with Keep Supply or we don't have an opportunity for them, I partner with them outside of this and help them find other local opportunities, because in the end, we're all just trying to feed our families and have a good day. I also focus on the strategic side of things as we continue to scale and grow, making sure we're doing it in the best possible way that still elevates the human experience and that two-way interview process. Right now, I'm supporting about 8 different individuals that are either relocating or just early career professionals that have no idea where to start, and I do that for free on the side. At Keep Supply, I'm able to show up as my authentic self every day in a place that champions that. I'm truly contributing to the greater aspect of our community, both internally and externally, as opposed to just marking tasks off of a list and clocking in and out.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would have to say my experience at Keep Supply has been my most notable achievement. Although it's been relatively short, I feel like my impact has been more sturdy and authentic. The Keep Supply ethos and motto is about being the best part, meeting me where I'm at, so being able to show up as my authentic self every day in a place that champions that has been transformative. I've been able to really serve people, as opposed to just marking tasks off of a list and clocking in and out. I'm truly contributing to the greater aspect of our community, both internally and externally. That ability to be myself and serve others with purpose is what makes me feel most accomplished at the end of the day.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now, the market is so crazy, it's almost impossible to help everyone. The career space is such a hard place to navigate. I think people need to see that you don't have to do it the same way that you've always been doing it. We're not serving people if we keep doing it this way. My purpose is to bring some positivity back into the career space and show that the human experience and the recruiting process can be done differently. The way that we're doing things at Keep Supply, with my director championing the way I view the human experience and the recruiting process, has been so refreshing. People need to know they're not doing this by themselves, that they're not the only ones walking in this journey alone.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My motto and my purpose is I just want to be able to be a servant to my friends, my family, my community, and being able to bring some positivity back into the career space. I prioritize the human connection and not leaving that out, even when using AI for administrative tasks. In the end, we're all just trying to feed our families and have a good day and wake up and do the thing. I want to be of service and know that people aren't doing this by themselves, that they're not the only ones walking in this journey alone. Being able to show up as my authentic self every day and truly serve people, rather than just marking tasks off a list, is what matters most to me.
