Her Story
About Jamie
Jamie Wagner began her nursing career in 2007 with a strong interest in the NICU, starting as a new graduate in that specialty. After gaining experience, she relocated to Florida where she advanced into leadership positions in outpatient settings, focusing on developing leaders, improving employee satisfaction and retention, and opening new business units for large organizations. Now back in her home state of Ohio in Lima, Jamie has returned to NICU leadership with Ohio Health, where she is helping to build the nation's largest 66-bed NICU set to open in spring 2027. In this role, she emphasizes culture change, coaches new graduates transitioning into ICU nursing, and collaborates on research programs exploring how coaching supports students moving from nursing school to practice. Jamie holds a master's degree in nursing and a master's degree in business administration, both earned in 2016, and is currently pursuing board certification as a nurse life coach. She is a member of the American Nursing Association and draws on her passion for implementing positive change, as reflected in her favorite quote that nothing changes if nothing changes. Looking ahead, she aims to expand her coaching work to empower team members and leaders to reach their full potential.
