About Jamila

Jamila Taylor has built a distinguished career in human resources, beginning in 1994 after earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University, with additional studies at the University of Freiburg in Germany that enabled her to speak German and work overseas. She progressed through leadership development programs at companies including Eaton Corporation and GE, eventually serving as CHRO at GuideHouse where she led the HR function through hypergrowth from 1,200 to 20,000 employees and $580 million to $2.5 billion in revenue over six years, including three acquisitions. Specializing in transformation, hypergrowth, turnaround, and restructuring for global workforces, Taylor holds certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, CCP, and ISO Auditor. Her notable achievements include building high-performance HR teams and creating career opportunities for employees, and she has been recognized with awards such as HR Executives to Watch, the HR Pinnacle Award, finalist for HR Executive of the Year, the 2022 Savoy Award, a Profile Magazine feature, and inclusion in David Little's People and Culture book. 02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Once you've made your decision on any decision you make in your career, it is the right decision in that moment. And do not question it beyond that day that you've made the decision. Take it with the information you have at that moment, make the decision, and never look back.
