Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to nearly a decade of experience in programmatic advertising, business development, and enterprise sales, with roles at organizations including Nielsen, Kantar, Comcast Spotlight, Simpli.fi, and currently Quantcast. I have built my career on developing strong relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, and creating meaningful connections through networking and industry engagement. My educational background in Communications and Sociology from Jacksonville State University, along with my involvement in organizations such as Women in Technology and the American Marketing Association, has also played an important role in my professional growth and success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that you can have a successful career and be a devoted parent at the same time. As a working mom, I learned that success doesn’t require choosing between family and professional growth—it’s about being adaptable, setting priorities, and making intentional decisions. Throughout my career, I’ve often had to pivot and align opportunities around my son’s needs, and that perspective has helped me build a fulfilling career while being present for my family and providing the support and stability he deserves.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe that you can have a successful career, achieve your professional goals, and be a great mom if that is a path you choose. Don’t feel pressured to choose between personal and professional fulfillment. Focus on building your skills, developing strong relationships, and creating a support system that allows you to thrive in both areas. Success looks different for everyone, and with determination, flexibility, and confidence in your abilities, it is possible to build a rewarding career while also being present for your family.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to build meaningful relationships and drive growth in an ever-evolving digital advertising landscape. Personally, I’m excited to be back in Florida and to have spent the past year with my current company, where I’ve had the opportunity to deepen client partnerships, expand my network, and contribute to business growth. Being part of a dynamic industry that continues to innovate creates exciting opportunities for both professional development and long-term success.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are family, mentorship, and service. My son has always been my top priority, and I’ve made career decisions that allowed me to be present in his life and support his growth. Professionally, I’m passionate about helping other women succeed in a male-dominated industry by mentoring, advocating for, and encouraging them to find their voice. I believe in lifting others up, and my guiding principle has always been: “If I can’t do something for myself today, can I do something for someone else?”
