Her Story
About Jane
My background is in strategy consulting focused on the consumer market CPG industry at PwC. I started after business school, worked client service then business development and operations, now leading global accounts in sales for about 7 years. I was drawn to consulting after exposure at BP and love the variety of problems and clients but pivoted for better work-life balance while staying in the industry.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I've never been afraid to speak up and ask questions. I have an unhealthy lack of fear of leadership and don't get intimidated easily. By nature I'm a problem solver and need to understand things rather than just memorize.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's an amazing opportunity to soak it in and learn as much as possible. Lean into the project work but also learning about operations. Ask for help if stuck too long, there's always an easier way.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The future of AI and its impacts to the work. There's a shift happening in consulting regarding variety of work, efficiency, and how value is created, captured, and priced rather than rates and hours.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and doing the right thing for the client. Humanity, treating everyone as people with their own lives and challenges. Flexibility, giving grace, and allowing different ways of working especially as a parent.
