Prior to launching Streamline Legal Ops, Platt served in senior legal operations leadership roles with organizations including Edgewise Therapeutics, Morgan Stanley, PDC Energy, and Array BioPharma. Her expertise spans contract lifecycle management, legal technology implementation, equity compensation administration, corporate governance, records management, and organizational change management. She has successfully led numerous legal systems implementations, developed enterprise training programs, and guided organizations through IPO-related equity data migrations while collaborating closely with legal, finance, procurement, and executive leadership teams. Platt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Colorado Boulder, an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate from the Denver Paralegal Institute, and professional credentials as a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the guidance of exceptional mentors, particularly attorneys who believed in my potential and encouraged me to embrace new challenges. Their confidence, combined with my willingness to continuously learn, maintain a customer-service mindset, and persevere through personal and professional challenges, has shaped my career. I also believe resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to serving others have been instrumental in my professional growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the most valuable pieces of advice I ever received was from a mentor who encouraged me to step into securities law, even when I doubted my abilities. He reminded me that I didn't need to know everything at the beginning because I could learn what was required. That advice taught me to embrace opportunities outside my comfort zone, trust my ability to grow, and never let uncertainty prevent me from pursuing meaningful challenges.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to actively seek mentors and build a strong professional network that will support and challenge them throughout their careers. Be willing to learn unfamiliar skills, accept opportunities that stretch your capabilities, and continue investing in your professional development. Most importantly, focus on building processes and solutions that help legal teams become trusted business partners while remaining confident in the unique perspective you bring.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in legal operations is helping small and growing businesses establish efficient legal processes before operational complexity becomes a barrier to growth. Many organizations lack dedicated legal operations resources, creating opportunities to implement practical contract management systems, legal technology, workflow automation, and cross-functional integrations that improve compliance, efficiency, and collaboration across the business.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in serving others through exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and collaboration. I value integrity, continuous improvement, and building efficient processes that help organizations succeed. Outside of work, I place great importance on family, community involvement, and giving back through volunteer service, striving to make a positive impact both professionally and personally.
