Ten minutes with Janet
01What do you attribute your success to?
I can think outside of the box while adhering to the box’s parameters.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My parents used to say, "Be nice to the people on your way up because they're the same people you're going to see on your way down."
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Since AI generates similar content for the masses, it’s important to inject your own voice and unique perspective in your writing. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, “Be yourself; everyone else is taken.” To quote AI, "Automation builds scale; authenticity builds trust."
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Gathering accurate information is a challenge. If using AI for research, push back on the initial results as it'll likely offer the most popular findings, not the most factual. In other words, get out of the echo chamber and think for yourself.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
