About Janet
I am a physician and medical educator with extensive experience in internal medicine, military healthcare, and clinical training. I currently serve as Lead PEB Physician Adjudicator for the U.S. Coast Guard, where I oversee disability evaluation processes and develop training programs to improve adjudication accuracy and efficiency. In addition, I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, mentoring medical students and supervising clinical skill development. Previously, I worked as a Lead Physician at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and spent over 16 years as a Staff Internist and Post-Graduate Medical Education Preceptor at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, providing care for complex cases while training medical students and residents. I hold a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Michigan.
