About Janet
Janet Padilla serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Ranger Association Foundation, a role she has held for about one and a half years. In this position based in Houston, TX, she collaborates with C-suite executives, community leaders, and government officials to advance the organization's three pillars of fundraising for scholarships for active and retired Texas Rangers, providing relief in cases of emergency or catastrophe, and preserving the heritage of the Texas Rangers by funding the Texas Ranger Museum and Hall of Fame along with statewide educational initiatives. Padilla initiated her career immediately after college graduation in 2006 by entering media at Univision Radio, where she focused on advertising sales, relationship development, and pioneering the Hispanic market in competition with general market stations, achieving notable audience leadership. After approximately 10 years in media, she was recruited by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a regional development representative, leveraging her prior Radiothon experience to grow into roles developing new events and networks; she was later brought to Houston to build additional markets and groups that have raised millions of dollars for the organization. A native of Brownsville, Texas, she is a graduate of Hanna High School and Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas, where she received business-oriented training that prepared her for professional goal-setting and relationship-focused work.
