About Janielle
Janielle Peacock serves as Director of Experiences and Learning at RDV Corp, where she manages a team of five responsible for creating learning strategies, employee experiences, and events for clients. She brings more than 20 years of industry experience, having graduated from college in 2005 with a degree in communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and later earning a master's degree from Kent State University. Her career began with an internship at a boutique PR and event planning agency in New York City, followed by roles at financial and insurance companies planning small conferences. She spent a significant portion of her career at Amway designing international luxury incentive programs for top business leaders before joining RDV Corp, where she built the events and experiences function from the ground up. Peacock is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and serves on the Content and Communications Committee for the Incentive Research Foundation. She attributes her success to professional advocates and mentors and advises young women entering the field to dream big, educate themselves beyond the classroom, and run their own race.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think having some very amazing professional advocates and mentors that make time to help share advice and lessons learned and encouragement along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Basically, to run your own race and allow your gifts to make room for you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Probably to dream big, right? Like, There's no limit to creativity. To make sure you always understand your clients, you're 5 steps in front of the trends, and so if you have to study what you want to do. Educate yourself outside of the classroom, and outside of what your current circumstance where you're living, or what you're able to afford, and just dream big.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Showing value and respect of people. I think people are the heartbeat of any business, and while there's work and goals to accomplish, making sure that people don't feel dropped, or a transaction along the way. Making a lasting impact, and there's emotion tied to it.
