Ten minutes with Jasmin

01What do you attribute your success to?

I grew up in Germany, and my parents instilled the hard-working, Lutheran work hard mentality. Making a commitment to someone in business is very important. Working hard in the tech sector as a woman in a male-dominated industry, you had to work twice as hard. Resilience is key - when you fall down, you get back up, learn, and keep going. Those values of hard work, commitment, and resilience have carried me through.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be very versatile in your knowledge. Be deeply focused but also learn about business, economics, finance. Understand what it takes to build a business so you can figure out your role and what you feel passionate about, whether research, product management, or running a department.
