Her Story
About Jasmine
Jasmine Arthur McIntyre is a visionary entrepreneur, beautypreneur, and the Founder & CEO of 729Beauty LLC, a luxury hair and beauty brand built on one powerful belief: luxury should be accessible to everyone.
What began in 2020 as a small pandemic-era business selling lip gloss and accessories has evolved into a growing beauty brand specializing in premium raw and virgin hair, wigs, bundles, closures, frontals, and beauty products. Through 729Beauty, Jasmine is creating more than a business—she is building a legacy.
A proud South Jersey entrepreneur, Jasmine is passionate about bringing innovation, opportunity, and economic growth to her community. Her vision includes establishing a luxury beauty supply headquarters in Atlantic City, NJ, designed around a groundbreaking drive-thru concept that would make shopping for beauty products more convenient, elevated, and accessible.
But Jasmine’s entrepreneurial journey is deeply personal. She has experienced loss, adversity, homelessness, financial hardship, and seasons that forced her to rebuild herself from the ground up. Her late father, Raymond Arthur, remains one of her greatest inspirations. After losing him at just nine years old, Jasmine came to understand that his legacy was something she would carry forward. His determination to rebuild his 1976 hunter-green Chevy Nova became a lasting metaphor for her own life: sometimes you have to take what has been broken, believe in what it can become, and rebuild it piece by piece.
Today, Jasmine is committed to turning her experiences into purpose. She is continuously learning, investing in her personal and professional development, pursuing funding opportunities, expanding her brand, and creating pathways for other aspiring entrepreneurs.
Her story is one of resilience, faith, reinvention, and relentless determination. Jasmine doesn’t believe her circumstances get to decide how her story ends.
She is not simply building a beauty brand. She is building a legacy—and proving that you can rebuild your life, your business, and your future from whatever pieces you have left.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jasmine
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying grounded, remaining dedicated to my community, and never forgetting where I came from. I still see myself as the same little girl from Pleasantville, New Jersey, and I carry that perspective with me as I pursue new opportunities, including my vision of transforming an old Walgreens into a drive-through luxury beauty supply store.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is: “Don’t be afraid to start over. Sometimes starting over is exactly how you get to where you were always meant to be.”
I’ve learned that success isn’t always about staying on the path you started on. Sometimes life forces you to pause, pivot, rebuild, and become a completely different version of yourself. I’ve had seasons where I felt like I lost everything, but those moments taught me that I was never starting from nothing—I was starting from experience.
I’ve also learned to stop waiting for someone else to validate my vision. If you believe in what you’re building, do the research, sharpen your skills, listen to wise advice, make the adjustments, and keep moving.
Your current chapter does not determine your final destination. Keep building, even when nobody else can see the blueprint yet.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My biggest advice is don’t be afraid to take up space. You don’t have to wait until you feel completely ready, have all the answers, or have everyone’s approval before you start.
Learn your craft, but also learn the business behind it. Understand your numbers, protect your brand, build relationships, negotiate, ask questions, and never stop educating yourself. Talent may get people’s attention, but knowledge, consistency, integrity, and discipline are what build something that lasts.
Most importantly, don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. Social media can make it look like everyone else is winning overnight, but you rarely see the years of sacrifice, mistakes, rejection, and rebuilding behind the scenes.
And please understand your worth. You can be humble without making yourself small. You can collaborate without losing your identity. You can receive advice without allowing someone else to convince you that your vision isn’t possible.
Build something that belongs to you. Be willing to evolve. And when the door doesn’t open, build the damn door.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the beauty industry right now is trust. Customers are more informed than ever, and they deserve transparency about where products come from, the quality they’re receiving, and whether a brand truly stands behind what it sells. In an industry filled with competition, trends, and businesses trying to compete on price alone, building genuine trust and long-term relationships has become more important than ever.
But I also see an incredible opportunity.
Consumers are looking for quality, convenience, affordability, and an experience—and I believe the next evolution of beauty retail is going to combine all four. Technology has made it easier for small businesses to reach customers globally, while entrepreneurship has created opportunities for women to build brands without needing a traditional storefront or corporate backing.
For 729Beauty, that opportunity means creating a new type of beauty-shopping experience: one that combines luxury with accessibility and convenience while still maintaining the personal connection customers want.
I believe the women who will thrive in this industry are the ones who are willing to innovate instead of imitate. Trends will change, algorithms will change, and consumer habits will change—but brands that understand their customers, deliver quality, and are willing to evolve will always have an opportunity to grow.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are integrity, faith, resilience, family, authenticity, and purpose.
Integrity is everything to me. I want people to know that my word means something, whether I’m doing business, building a relationship, or simply giving someone my time. I believe how you treat people when there is nothing to gain says more about your character than anything you can put on a résumé.
Family is my foundation, and purpose is my compass. Everything I’m building is bigger than me. I want my daughters to see what it looks like to pursue a dream, overcome adversity, and create something meaningful from your life.
Resilience is another value I carry deeply. I’ve learned that life can knock you down without having the final say in who you become. I don’t believe in pretending the hard seasons didn’t happen—I believe in allowing them to shape you without allowing them to define you.
And above all, I value authenticity. I’ve spent too much of my life trying to fit into spaces that weren’t designed for me. Now, I choose to show up as myself, unapologetically. I believe there is power in knowing who you are, knowing why you’re here, and having the courage to build a life that reflects both.
My goal is simple: to do good business, be a good human, leave people better than I found them, and build a legacy my children can be proud of.
