What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of perseverance, integrity, and a genuine passion for connecting people with opportunities that allow them to thrive. My educational foundation from the University of Louisiana Monroe, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies, and my MBA in Human Resources Management from Grand Canyon University, have both equipped me with the skills and insight to excel in the HR and talent management field. Throughout my career as an HR Executive in the computer software industry, I’ve developed strong expertise in sales, management, leadership, recruiting, and human resources. I take pride in fostering relationships built on trust and in creating meaningful impact—not just through organizational success but through the growth and achievement of individuals. While I’m proud of the professional accolades I’ve received, the most rewarding moments come from seeing candidates I’ve advocated for succeed. One experience that stands out was when I championed a talented candidate for a Vice President of Finance role. After advocating strongly for her potential, seeing her thrive in that position was one of the most fulfilling accomplishments of my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to always walk into every room knowing you belong there. Be assertive, but stay grounded in professionalism and humility. Know your worth and remember—you’re at the table because you’ve earned that seat. Embrace mistakes as opportunities for growth, and surround yourself with people who challenge and inspire you. True progress often happens when you allow yourself to be uncomfortable, because that’s where real development begins.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me—both professionally and personally—are authenticity, compassion, and gratitude. Growing up a country girl from Louisiana taught me the importance of staying grounded, working hard, and treating people with kindness and respect. Those roots continue to guide how I lead, connect, and show up for others every day. My greatest inspiration is my amazing 9-year-old daughter. She’s smart, kind, and endlessly curious—she keeps me on my toes and reminds me to see the world with fresh eyes. She challenges me to be better and has helped me discover strengths within myself I didn’t even know existed. She truly is God’s greatest gift to me. Outside of work, I’m deeply passionate about creativity and self-expression. I love photography, fashion, art, music, and all the beautiful ways people share their stories. Whether I’m painting, working with pottery, exploring new places, visiting museums, or enjoying great food, I find joy and inspiration in the world around me.
