Jasmine Noel
Jasmine Noel is a dedicated nursing educator and Lab Coordinator at Bryant & Stratton College’s Hampton campus, with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Her journey began at 17 when she enrolled in a CNA program during her senior year of high school. Despite early setbacks in nursing school, Jasmine spent 16 years gaining hands-on experience as a CNA while returning to nursing school multiple times. In 2014, the birth of her child motivated her to pursue her career with renewed determination. After moving to the Tidewater area of Virginia, she successfully entered nursing school during the pandemic in 2020, graduated, and quickly progressed from a floor nurse to a supervisor and then into nursing education.
In her current role, Jasmine oversees the Nursing Fundamentals Lab, precepts students at multiple clinical sites—including pediatric homes, neurotrauma units, and long-term care facilities—and provides tutoring and mentorship across LPN and ADN programs. Known for her compassionate approach and practical teaching style, she helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice. Her dedication and performance earned her a full-time faculty position and a spot in the school’s bridge program, making her both an educator and a student simultaneously.
Beyond her professional work, Jasmine is passionate about holistic health and plans to pursue her holistic nurse baccalaureate board certification. She envisions creating a space to grow her own herbs and develop an apothecary, combining her love of nature with her healthcare expertise. A single mother to an 11-year-old son, she balances her career and personal life with the same perseverance and focus that have defined her professional journey—showing students and colleagues alike the power of determination, mentorship, and compassion in nursing.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to several key influences in my life. First, my parents, whose guidance and support have shaped who I am. My son is a constant source of motivation—he inspires me to strive for excellence, not just for myself, but so he can have a better example and opportunities. I also credit my peers; the people I work alongside are exceptional, and their dedication challenges me to grow. Finally, my leadership at work—strong, inspiring women—keeps me moving forward, showing me the kind of professional I aspire to become.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to push the negatives aside—don’t let doubts, criticism, or setbacks dictate your actions. Use them as learning opportunities, but never let them hold you back. Always persevere and never take no for an answer, especially when pursuing goals that matter deeply; often, a ‘no’ is just a step toward a more creative solution. Finally, avoid comparing yourself to others—everyone’s journey is unique. Focus on what aligns with your values, strengths, and purpose, and let that guide your path.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are compassion, effectiveness, and reliability. I strive to treat everyone with the care and respect I would show a loved one. I focus on making my presence meaningful by creating real impact rather than simply occupying space. And I prioritize being someone others can depend on—for support, guidance, and inspiration.
