About Jasmine
In human resources, I primarily focus on the talent acquisition function. I've obtained SPHR, SHRM, and PMP certifications. I recruited for an aerospace logistics seed-phase startup and engaged with military-affiliated programs to support military spouses facing high unemployment. As a military spouse myself, I signed a contract to work as a recruiter at USAA starting next Monday to serve the veteran community. My background includes five and a half years as a field interviewer and locator traveler for the University of Michigan on studies like Baby's First Years and the Health and Retirement Study. After the pandemic halted travel, I earned a master's in HR and built out recruiting at Positive Development, scaling the company from 10 to 300 employees in 18 months. I then worked at Apperson Partners recruiting tax and finance professionals for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say it's family. These family trips that we do rejuvenate me as a whole, and it centers me and focuses as to why I do this. I like making others feel good. I want to make sure it's a great environment for everyone.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say, say yes to any opportunity that you come across, no matter if it's even if you feel as though it does not align, it doesn't matter, because those conversations that you're gonna have, you never know where that's gonna take you. Be open-minded, network, get out there, and speak to people, have those conversations.
