Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jasmine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to curiosity, continuous learning, and the willingness to ask difficult questions. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that the best solutions come from understanding how things work rather than accepting them at face value. That mindset has shaped my approach to AI governance—embracing innovation while ensuring it remains trustworthy, transparent, and accountable.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One lesson that has stayed with me is that your career doesn’t have to follow a straight line. Every role, project, and challenge has given me skills that now come together in unexpected ways. My background in audit, compliance, and governance prepared me to solve problems in AI that didn’t even exist when I started my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay curious, ask questions, and don’t wait until you feel completely ready. Every meaningful opportunity I’ve pursued came with uncertainty. Your perspective has value, and you don’t need to know everything before you contribute. Confidence grows through action, not before it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Organizations are under tremendous pressure to adopt AI quickly because of promises of greater productivity and efficiency. The opportunity is enormous, but so is the responsibility. Many organizations underestimate the importance of validating AI outputs and establishing governance before scaling AI across the enterprise. AI can be incredibly valuable, but not every process benefits from automation. The organizations that succeed will be the ones that adopt AI thoughtfully, implement appropriate controls, and ensure people remain accountable for the outcomes.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, curiosity, trust, and lifelong learning guide everything I do. I believe technology should empower people—not replace thoughtful judgment—and that innovation and accountability should always go hand in hand. Beyond my professional work, I value family, mindfulness, and creating opportunities to help others grow. My goal is to make AI governance practical, accessible, and grounded in principles people can trust.
