Her Story

About Jaspreet

I am a business development professional in the transportation and logistics industry with experience in both revenue growth and financial operations. My role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, negotiating contracts, and developing transportation solutions that help customers improve their supply chain performance.

In addition to business development, I manage accounting-related responsibilities, including invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, financial tracking, and ensuring accurate financial records. This combination of sales, customer service, and financial management allows me to contribute to both the growth and operational success of the organization.

I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where I can combine strategic thinking, relationship building, and attention to detail. By understanding both the operational and financial sides of the business, I am able to provide value to customers while supporting the company’s long-term growth and profitability.

Prior to this role, I served as an Elementary School Teacher at Golden Oak Montessori in Castro Valley, California, for over a year, where I taught and mentored young students in a Montessori environment, fostering a love of learning and supporting their academic and personal development. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from California State University, Fresno, which I completed in 2018. Across my career in accounting and education, my work has been driven by a commitment to service, attention to detail, and a dedication to supporting the growth and success of the organizations and individuals I serve. Whether I am managing financial operations or teaching in the classroom, I bring a strong work ethic, a problem-solving mindset, and a genuine care for the people and communities I serve. I am proud of the work I have done and excited to continue building a career that combines my skills in both finance and service.

Ten minutes with Jaspreet

01What do you attribute your success to?

Having a strong work ethic is important, but so is being willing to learn, embrace change, and stay focused when challenges arise.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to focus on learning and adding value rather than chasing titles. Opportunities and advancement tend to follow when you consistently develop your skills, solve problems, and build strong relationships.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take the time to learn the operations, ask questions, and build strong relationships across departments. Find mentors who can guide you, stay adaptable as technology and processes evolve, and don’t be intimidated by traditionally male-dominated environments. Your perspective, problem-solving skills, and leadership can make a significant impact. Most importantly, believe in yourself and be willing to take on challenges that push you outside your comfort zone.”

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in logistics today is managing supply chain disruptions while meeting increasing customer expectations. Companies are expected to deliver faster and more reliably than ever, but they must also navigate issues such as labor shortages, transportation capacity constraints, rising fuel and operating costs, and global economic uncertainty.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both business and personal life are integrity, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. I believe in being honest and doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult. I take responsibility for my actions and commitments, and I treat others with respect regardless of their role or background.
