What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my children, who inspire me every day, and to my mother—my biggest supporter—who has always encouraged me to strive for more, learn from her mistakes, and be better in life than she was.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do your research, find your why, and understand both what you can offer and what the industry can offer you—then advocate for yourself and truly enjoy the giving that comes with nursing.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are family, connection, and creativity, which I express through spending quality time with my husband, siblings, and loved ones, as well as through refurbishing furniture, decorating, reading, and traveling.
