Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jayde
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family, mentors, and community, as well as the resilience and sacrifices of my ancestors who endured so much to create opportunities for future generations. Their strength and perseverance continue to inspire me to pursue my goals with determination and gratitude.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I had a professor once say that you get paid for your opinion. It seems so simple but it’s such a revolutionary concept. So I interpreted that as don’t be afraid to give (and receive) well-informed, actionable, and strategic feedback. Great content is the result of many rounds of “yes”, “maybe” and “It’s not yet working for me”.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to embrace AI as a valuable tool that can help streamline tasks, generate insights, and enhance productivity. However, it is equally important to trust and develop your own voice, creativity, and unique talents. Technology can support your work, but your perspective and authenticity are what truly set you apart.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the most significant challenges and opportunities in my field is the rapid advancement of AI. While AI can efficiently gather information and improve workflows, it also requires professionals to adapt and continually refine their skills. The greatest opportunity lies in using AI strategically while preserving the human creativity, critical thinking, and originality that technology cannot replace.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Creativity, authenticity, and continuous learning are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I am passionate about combining creativity with data-driven insights across digital marketing, analytics, eBooks, scriptwriting, blogging, social media, and travel. I believe in creating meaningful content, embracing innovation, and building genuine connections through my work and experiences.
