Her Story

About Jaye

Jaye Miller is a professional in private funds tech, specializing in securities and investment vehicles outside of private banking. Her path into the field draws from third-generation real estate roots, beginning with her grandfather's influence. She decided to pursue it in 2003 and returned full force in 2019. Miller holds a fine arts degree from West Virginia University after initially studying animal and veterinary science, followed by a paralegal degree in 2003 and a master's certificate in youth studies in 2013. She has also earned funds and AI certifications. She is a member of Venture Starters on LinkedIn and the Family Office Club. Miller attributes her success to the pandemic, which reduced degrees of separation and enabled her to capitalize on connections and build quality relationships, noting that her network is her net worth. She advises professionals never to discount what they bring to the table and to learn how to monetize their unique gifts. In addition to her work, she supports animal welfare initiatives aimed at reducing kill shelters, the B1G1 organization, and efforts focused on world hunger and self-sustainability.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jaye

01What do you attribute your success to?

The pandemic reduced degrees of separation from 4-6 to 1-2, allowing me to capitalize on connections, build confidence in my talent, and make great relationships. Your network is your net worth, and the quality of relationships is key.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never discount what you bring to the table. Take inventory of what you can do that no one else can do and understand how that fits in the market. Do not apologize for a unique gift that you might think is ordinary, and learn how to monetize it.
