Her Story
About Jazmin
My journey has been unconventional, marked by adversity, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome - all the things that are often talked about. But I felt that my experiences would connect with a lot of people, which is why I started my own company, Flourish, to give back primarily to early career, first-generation, and emerging leaders in the tech space. I wanted to empower those who are looking to grow and really own and drive their career. In my corporate role at Cloudflare, I serve as Chief of Staff in the Global Customer Services Organization, working closely with the executive team to lead, implement, and drive the rhythm of the business. This includes coordinating quarterly business reviews, quarterly and annual planning cycles, focusing on employee engagement, and spearheading strategic initiatives that make an impact for our employees, customers, and the business as a whole. I also lead all communications for my executive, crafting the narrative for all-hands meetings and written communications. Through Flourish, I offer services that vary from client to client, working one-on-one or with corporate engagements and nonprofits. I help unlock potential through workshops and speaking engagements on topics like flourishing from within, breaking free from limiting beliefs, the power of networking, and helping executive assistants and other professionals level up from being tactical to strategic and leading with impact. My current challenge and priority is getting more brand awareness and visibility for Flourish - letting people know I'm here, this is who I am, this is what I offer, and this is how I can help.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First and foremost, believe in yourself. Trust your inner voice. And then embrace the journey, and don't rush that growth, because it will take time. When facing challenges or things that feel overwhelming or foreign, show up with curiosity. Don't let fear drive whether you show up or not - fear will always be there, but don't let it stop you. Ask questions, do your own research, explore, maybe reach out to a colleague you trust that can walk you through it a little bit more personally to tailor it to your way of learning or understanding. And then start trying it out, because there's one thing to be said around learning about something, but when you actually apply it is when those dots really connect. Look at challenges and surprises differently - lean into them as a point of opportunity versus feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The current challenge today in my corporate work is figuring out how we can use AI in the day-to-day and in the long term. We're rolling out a lot of AI initiatives and embracing and adopting a lot of the AI technology that's being talked about very front and center globally. The challenge is how do you use it from a perspective of customer-facing teams, how do you use it from a data analytics team, how do you use it to solve problems, to save time for productivity. I'm advising people to lean in with curiosity and not shy away from it, because it's here and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon. A lot of folks I have conversations with, even from a client perspective through my work with my company, find that fear tends to lead them. But I'm advising the opposite - it's okay that fear will always be there, but don't let it drive whether you show up. For my business, Flourish, my challenge is getting more brand awareness and visibility - letting people know I'm here, this is who I am, this is what I offer, this is how I can help you.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My top three values in my work life are definitely integrity, accountability, and empathy. These values guide how I show up both in my corporate role and in my business. In my business, Flourish, everything I do is really dedicated to helping others through the services I offer. It's all about how I can help unlock potential in people, whether that's through one-on-one coaching, corporate engagements, or working with nonprofits. I focus on transforming mindset, breaking free from doubt, and really encouraging people to flourish from within.
