About Jazmin
I'm the CEO and owner of Dirt to Dreams Land Investing, a company I built from the ground up after coming to this country with nothing. I started by saving $45,000 working in restaurants while going to school, always knowing I wanted to start my own business but not knowing what kind. I invested that money in my first piece of land, got a job at a real estate investment firm, and started learning everything I could about land investing. When I realized my first deal wasn't great, I sold it for a $5,000 profit and kept repeating the process. Over the past 6 years, I've completed over 100 land transactions totaling more than a million dollars in land flips. Three years ago, I expanded into commercial real estate, forming partnerships in multifamily properties and new construction for retail centers. Today, my portfolio includes 1,600 units in multifamily properties alongside my land investments. While land has been the most financially rewarding in the short term, commercial real estate represents long-term growth that will pay off when properties go full cycle. My expertise lies in sales, which got me into real estate, and community building.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's mindset, especially when it comes to getting into the big leagues and going bigger, going for the next level. For example, with the commercial part, I could have felt like I don't have the experience, I don't have a million dollars sitting in my bank account to buy an apartment building. But having the mindset of 'it is possible' changed everything. I decided to go out, partner up with somebody, and add value to somebody who is already doing that. That's what will get you into the right room. You have to believe it's possible and then find ways to make it happen, even when you don't have all the resources yourself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Network. You're one connection away from a completely different life. That's what completely changed my career. You just gotta keep showing up.
