What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from resilience and purpose. I’ve learned to turn challenges into direction, stay curious, and show up every day with the intention of serving people well. That mindset has helped me build momentum even when the path wasn’t clear.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was to stay adaptable, be consistent, and keep learning, no matter what stage I’m in. I’ve carried that with me by constantly building new skills, showing up even when it's been difficult and challenging, and staying open to change, which ultimately helped me pivot, grow professionally, and create opportunities when traditional paths didn’t work out.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise to stay strong, stay focused and never give up. It's challenging every day to be a business owner and sometimes the imposter syndrome can take over. Keep your confidence level high and keep moving forward no matter how difficult it may be.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI is by far the most challenging aspect of being a virtual assistant. Many believe that AI will take over jobs and the virtual assistant space is one of those jobs that can be replaced, however, AI is not perfect and the human aspect will always be necessary no matter what. Integrating AI is necessary to grow and evolve, but a virtual assistant will still always be needed. The opportunities to be a virtual assistant are growing as more and more businesses realize that hiring a contractor instead of an employee is a financial savings to their business.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, trust, honesty, professionalism, kindness and compassion are the values I hold closest to my approach in my professional and personal life. I believe in being honest and transparent to gain the trust of others even in hard situations. Approaching others with kindness and compassion are integral to how I view both business and personal relationships. It's not always easy, but I truly believe it is necessary.
