Ten minutes with Jazz

01What do you attribute your success to?

I'm a faithful woman, so it's always going to be God first. I have a very, very strong village and support system, so family, friends, all in between. I'm very blessed to have that, so I'm definitely my support system, my village, my faith. No matter what life throws at me, I can always land back on those two things, so I would probably say those the most. And my children, obviously.

I think the biggest challenge is... is that I think this industry is gatekept. ... There's not enough people that look like me. in leadership roles... I'm making moves and doing things to help Diversify our industry, and to... educate... give people the information, the tools and resources that people gatekeep a lot.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Accountability. It just goes a long way. ... Outside of accountability, I lead with love. ... Give grace. Grace is a big deal... just being accountable, do things in love, and just be willing to give grace. ... Respect, obviously.
