Her Story

About Jean

You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. The people that work with me, experience feelings of overwhelm, feel misunderstood, and carry more than they’ve ever said out loud.

Sitting with people in some of the hardest, most raw moments of their lives is what I do and how I help you work through it. I’ve worked with individuals and couples navigating crisis, trauma, injustice, family systems, and survival. What I learn from my journey with you is that people don’t need to be fixed, they need to be understood.

I meet you exactly where you are, no judgment, no pressure. Just real support as we make sense of your story and move forward, together. My role is to help you understand yourself in a way that creates real, sustainable change. I sit comfortably with complexity, trauma, and the realities of life that don’t fit neatly into a box. I have learned what it truly means to show up for people in their most difficult moments. I bring that same presence into my work, grounded, direct, and without judgment. I meet you exactly where you are. Together, we make sense of your story and create a path forward that aligns with who you are becoming.

Ten minutes with Jean

01What do you attribute your success to?

Success, for me, comes from my ability to sit with indviduals and couples in truth, without judgment, without needing to fix, and without turning away from complexity. I combine clinical training with lived experience, and I trust both. Adaptability is key to being able to relate to each individual and couple as you are all very different.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t build your career around what looks good, build it around what is meaningful to you. The work will sustain you far longer than external validation ever will.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

At the most basic level, follow your instincts and the calling from within. Take advice from anyone, but make your own path. Learn everything you can, but don’t lose yourself trying to fit into someone else’s model. This field needs authenticity, so be authentically you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Access to diverse providers who are experienced in cultural competency and trauma-informed care, with the ability to practice internationally for communities in distress or crisis. The opportunity lies in expanding how and where we deliver care, including telehealth and global access to mental health services.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, empathy, boundaries, and personal accountability. I believe in doing the work internally so I can show up fully and responsibly for others.
