About Jean (Jeannie)
Jean (Jeannie) Parrish serves as a supervisor at the Cleveland Clinic. In this role, she oversees the Redcoats customer service department, the Administrative Service Center responsible for processing death certificates and patient belongings, and the Discharge with Dignity program, which she helped develop through a hospital grant to ensure patients leave in their own clothing. She has been with the department for 16 years. Prior to her healthcare career, Parrish worked in fashion buying and management, earned a master's degree, and taught in fashion programs at a fashion school as well as economics at a community college. She is a Eucharistic minister at her church and emphasizes living life fully while encouraging others to stay true to themselves.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let anybody tell you what's right or wrong for you. Listen to advice but if there's something you truly want to do, you can do it. Don't let anybody tell you what you should look like, what you should wear, how you should act. Be who you are.
