Jean Miller-Evans
Jean Miller-Evans is a highly experienced registered nurse and chronic care coordinator at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where she has served since 2015. With a career spanning emergency departments, interventional radiology, travel nursing, and chronic care management, Jean brings extensive clinical expertise and a patient-centered approach to her work. The best career advice I’ve ever received is that if I’m not giving 100% every day, it’s time to move on—never settle for mediocrity in caring for others.

My advice to young women entering nursing is to enter the field with joy, knowing that even small acts of care ripple out to families and society.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in nursing right now are staying up to date with rules and regulations to provide safe, empathetic care, while also gaining greater recognition for the critical role nurses play.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty, love, truthfulness, and caring, guided by my personal motto: "I refuse to die ignorant."
