Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jean
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my strong faith, my understanding of how to apply universal laws, and my perseverance. Most importantly, I know myself and understand what I teach. My self-awareness, experience, and confidence in my knowledge help people trust my guidance and seek my services.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I cannot identify a specific piece of career advice that I have received. My professional journey has largely been shaped by my own experiences, perseverance, and commitment to understanding myself and my goals.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to gain clarity about what they truly want rather than pursuing what others expect of them. Once they have a clear vision, they can identify mentors, organizations, and supportive communities that will help them move forward. Having that clarity makes it easier to recognize opportunities, but success still requires commitment, consistent effort, and perseverance.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe clarity is essential to recognizing and taking advantage of opportunities. People need to decide what they want, remain focused on their vision, and continue working toward it. Opportunities are always present, but we must be prepared to recognize and act on them. My own career has evolved from teaching to counseling, personal growth consulting, and authorship, and I continue to teach classes. My experience has shown me the importance of remaining adaptable and persevering through each stage of professional growth.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My most important values are seeing the best in every person and situation, practicing forgiveness, and maintaining clarity about what I want and what I am willing to do to achieve it. I believe that a positive perspective, the ability to forgive, and a clear understanding of my goals help me navigate challenges and remain committed to personal and professional growth.
