About Jeannette
Jeannette Andrews serves as an Accounting Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Fractional CFO at The Leaf & Ledger Group, bringing more than 25 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, manufacturing, and workflow optimization. Her expertise is focused on helping organizations improve financial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and develop strategic solutions that support sustainable growth. She began her accounting career in 1995 and expanded into manufacturing operations in 2000, building a strong foundation in financial management, supply chain processes, and business optimization.
Drawing from decades of experience, including early exposure to accounting through supporting her mother’s accounting clients dating back to the 1980s, Jeannette developed a passion for helping businesses navigate complex financial and operational challenges. She founded The Leaf & Ledger Group to provide specialized accounting and financial services, with a focus on supporting the evolving needs of businesses within the cannabis industry. Her background in accounting operations, technology solutions, and process improvement enables her to deliver customized strategies that drive efficiency and organizational success.
Jeannette earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Santa Clara University and holds a Certified Scrum Master credential earned in 2016, along with APICS inventory certification. Beyond her professional achievements, she is committed to serving her community through her board involvement with a diaper pantry and participation in a Christian organization. Guided by a commitment to service, continuous improvement, and meaningful impact, Jeannette continues to support businesses and communities through leadership, expertise, and collaboration.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents. They came to the US in 1963 not knowing the language and with 1 sponsor. They carved out the American dream owning a house in the Bay Area and starting their own businesses respectively. This taught me early on to work hard, and you can achieve your goals. Keep trying even when you fail. A strong foundation growing up of watching the sacrifice they made to give their children a better life was all they wanted. I have tried to live my professional life as they did.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Flying through your job without truly enjoying it is a waste of time and energy. Make sure you have your goal always on the horizon. Even when it rains - open the umbrella and still walk through the mud. Eventually you will get to the grass again if you are persistent.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be fearless, believe in their abilities, and pursue their goals with confidence. Building a successful career requires focus, resilience, and a strong support system, whether that comes from mentors, colleagues, or personal relationships. I encourage women to invest in themselves through continuous learning, professional development, and personal growth. It is also important to advocate for yourself, recognize your value, and become your own strongest promoter. By embracing opportunities and confidently sharing your expertise, you can create meaningful impact and achieve long-term success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges are that the Cannabis industry is widely male dominated. My entire career has been male dominated. This is why striking out on my own was the next step. I am in control of my destiny. It is THE BEST feeling after so many years of being the complimenting employee. You make every opportunity your own so regardless of male/female all challenges provide a learning opportunity. Embrace it and keep it moving!
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is #1 personally and professionally. I have a daughter with Down Syndrome that is a young adult who I need to succeed for. She has accomplished and succeeded to the best of her ability through her grit. This is hugely inspiring and keeping integrity intact is key.
