Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jeannette
01What do you attribute your success to?
My partner Adam has always been there to support me throughout all the different things I've done in my life as an adult, helping me out with our son as needed.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you want to know exactly what you want to do in life, that's a problem because you're always changing. It's okay that you know that there's going to be a career that maybe you're not going to do forever. That's why I got a communications degree because it's versatile and you can go into a bunch of different fields with it. People are always changing so we should try to do as many things as possible within our careers.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't ever let anybody get you down. Always keep your composure no matter how far people push you. Because at the end of the day, how people treat you says more about them than you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In the communications field, some things you would normally do with a communications degree are being taken over by AI, like editing.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, loyalty, honesty, kindness, and doing things with intention, not being careless with whatever you're doing.
