Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jen
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
From Father Steven Siniari who quoted 'We're humble beggars asking humble beggars where to find bread.' Also 'get off the cross, we need the wood.' And Covey quote to seek first to understand.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be open to learning, stay humble. If you make a mistake, tell on yourself first. Own it. Don't come in with an agenda to save the agency or be a powerhouse. Be a servant leader and open to honest feedback.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Bringing in new support from people who have a heart for the mission of youth facing homelessness. Housing inventory concerns. Post-COVID challenges with in-person meetings and maintaining community/connection via virtual tools.
