Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jena

01What do you attribute your success to?

My family's support on any career and educational decision, working hard, my education, and being a very giving and helpful person.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received would actually be from my father. He owns his electrical business, and he's always told me to follow my dreams, and never give up, and really stand firm on what your values and beliefs are, and always do right by yourself and others.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My best advice that I would give to someone that is just starting the way I started is to never give up, never doubt yourself, and always strive for what your goals are, and to push and push, because the outcome is always amazing, and it is worth every stress and everything, the hard work always pays off, and it's so rewarding.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge for me as a young woman was finding the right company that would give me the opportunity to grow. I was on the job hunt for about a year and a half before finding HNI Healthcare that took a chance on me and allowed me to develop my leadership skills.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust and honesty, and just overall encouragement and support.
