Her Story
About Jenavieve
Jenavieve Jade Perl (She/Her) is a seasoned Senior Account Executive with over 10 years of experience in mortgage lending, wholesale origination, and real estate finance. Based in Austin, Texas, she is a solutions-driven sales professional specializing in high-value transactions and complex lending structures within the Non-QM and investor lending space. She is recognized for her ability to build strong client relationships, deliver tailored financial solutions, and consistently drive production in competitive markets.
Her career in the mortgage industry spans a lifetime of exposure and hands-on experience. She began early through “Bring Your Daughter to Work Day” with her father, which introduced her to the fundamentals of the business. During high school, she worked in the office during summers handling filing, document review, and operational support—developing a deep familiarity with loan documentation from an early age. After attending community college and Arizona State University, she progressed professionally from receptionist to transaction manager and ultimately to account executive, gaining comprehensive experience across wholesale origination, real estate, secondary markets, title, escrow, and underwriting.
Throughout her career, Jenavieve has distinguished herself as a top-producing sales executive, consistently ranking number one month over month while earning results through performance and discipline. She has built her reputation not on legacy or connection, but on measurable outcomes, resilience, and expertise in the field. Her early proximity to the industry also came with added scrutiny, as she worked to establish credibility independently and demonstrate that her success was earned through capability and results. Today, she brings that same work ethic, depth of industry knowledge, and commitment to excellence into every client relationship and lending solution she delivers.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jenavieve
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to discipline, consistency, and a strong commitment to earning results through merit rather than circumstance. Being a top producer month over month for a significant portion of my career required resilience, accountability, and a relentless focus on performance in highly competitive environments. Early in my career, I also benefited from a unique dynamic in which I was held to a higher standard, with my father intentionally ensuring I built credibility independently and proved my value through results rather than relationships. That experience reinforced a strong work ethic, sharpened my competitive drive, and shaped my belief that sustained success is built on integrity, performance, and the ability to consistently deliver for clients and partners.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success is never permanent and must be continually earned. Once you reach a point where you feel accomplished, it is important to dig even deeper, remain grounded, and recognize that progress can change quickly in any competitive industry. That perspective has taught me to stay persistent, consistent, and disciplined in my approach, regardless of past achievements. By focusing on continuous improvement rather than comfort, I’ve learned to maintain momentum, adapt to challenges, and sustain long-term success through steady effort and accountability.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to lead with curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to continuous learning. In a male-dominated environment, knowledge truly is power, and taking the time to listen, observe, and absorb as much information as possible will build both credibility and confidence over time. There will be challenging days, but resilience is essential setbacks are part of the process and are always balanced by opportunities to grow and succeed. By staying persistent, remaining adaptable, and consistently investing in your expertise, you can establish yourself as a trusted and capable professional who earns respect through performance and preparation.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The mortgage and lending industry are currently operating in a highly competitive and oversaturated environment, further impacted by elevated interest rates and broader economic uncertainty. Within the non-QM space in particular, many lenders are competing on minimal pricing differences, which has made it increasingly difficult to differentiate based on rate alone. At the same time, this landscape presents a meaningful opportunity to evolve the industry by integrating advanced technology and AI with the essential human element of lending. While innovation can streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance accuracy, the home financing experience remains a deeply personal and relationship-driven decision. Those who can successfully balance technology with high-touch, client-focused service are best positioned to modernize the industry and elevate the overall borrower experience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values in my work and personal life are integrity, relationship-building, and meaningful connection. As a naturally people-oriented professional, I value the opportunity to engage with others through listening, sharing knowledge, and fostering open communication. Networking is not just a professional tool, but a way to create mutual growth—helping others succeed while also advancing shared goals. I believe that strong, authentic relationships are the foundation of long-term success, and I prioritize consistency, trust, and collaboration in every interaction.
