Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jenn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm a really good storyteller, I'm good at listening to people and figuring out how to help them explain who they are, and tell their own story in a compelling way. And I know how to structure stories that make people care.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Believing your intuitions and communicating them clearly and kindly, but also remembering that a lot of times, the best product comes from collaboration, so listening to other people's ideas and leaving space for things to come together in a way where multiple people contribute.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never make yourself small to make other people more comfortable. If you're in a room, you belong there. And make yourself heard.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, I would say that the changing media landscape is challenging for a lot of us. I think things are shifting online and off of traditional legacy media sources, and that goes for entertainment and also marketing, any kind of media that people consume these days.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and respect. And collaboration. And creativity.
