Jenna Campbell, Esq., is an AML/KYC Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she leverages her legal expertise to combat financial crime and ensure compliance with complex regulatory requirements. In her role, she conducts client relationship reviews, evaluates anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions risks, and assesses customer activity to ensure adherence to OFAC, FinCEN, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and internal compliance standards. As a licensed attorney and experienced financial crime professional, Jenna is committed to protecting the integrity of the financial system through thorough investigations and sound risk analysis.
Jenna's multidisciplinary educational background sets her apart in the compliance and legal fields. She earned a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, where she concentrated in Criminal Law, following a Master of Science in Forensic Science & Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry with a minor in Biology from Duquesne University. Her graduate research on gunshot residue analysis was recognized with multiple academic awards and published in a peer-reviewed journal, reflecting her strong analytical skills and dedication to scientific research. Before transitioning into financial compliance, she gained valuable legal experience through internships, law clerk positions, and paralegal roles, building a strong foundation in litigation and legal analysis.
Throughout her career, Jenna has demonstrated resilience, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for public service. She progressed from AML/KYC Junior Associate to Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase after beginning her banking compliance career as an AML Investigator, while also achieving licensure as an attorney in the State of Alabama. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she actively supports causes related to criminal justice reform and wrongful conviction advocacy, reflecting her enduring interest in the legal system and pursuit of justice. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and the motivation to keep moving forward despite challenges.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my father and uncle: just because you went to college for one field doesn’t mean you’re locked into it. You can always pivot—follow your passion.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Make yourself heard, even if you're scared. Don't get discouraged or give up if it's your passion, and never doubt your abilities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that it remains male-dominated. However, this also creates an opportunity for women to break barriers, lead with confidence, and inspire greater diversity in the industry.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value honesty, open communication, and loyalty in both my work and personal life. I admire people who speak their minds with confidence and appreciate boldness, authenticity, and integrity in every relationship.
