Her Story
About Jenna
I started fresh out of college with an internship at an occupational health company in Alaska. I grew up in Alaska with a father who was a slope worker on the North Slope oil fields. I got my associates from UAA and was one of the youngest to have that. Then worked on the trans-Alaska pipeline for 12 years. Now I supervise industrial hygiene for DOE nuclear construction at Savannah River, focusing on stringent monitoring beyond OSHA standards.

Find your own internal goals and values and integrity. Be knowledgeable and good at your job because you don't get the luxury to sail by the seat of your pants. Hold your ground, keep lines and boundaries, communicate them, and use every resource available like continuing education and documentation. Be prepared that there is still work to be done for women in the industry.
