Her Story

About Jennie

I've been an entrepreneur my entire life, growing up working in my parents' ski store business in Australia, which became one of the biggest ski stores in the country. When I was young, I started my own business called Adrenaline Sports to sell skateboards and snowboards and other youth sports equipment, which is how I got my nickname Adrenagen, like Adrenaline Jenny. My first job at age [AGE] was as a ski instructor, and I fell in love with sharing my passion at a very young age. I taught people to rollerblade, to snowboard, became a certified kiteboarding instructor, and was always chasing the balance between selling sporting products and actually being an athlete myself, competing on the world stage as an Australian champion in kite surfing, a world champion in snow kiting, and racing mountain bikes for Australia. When I taught people to do extreme sports, especially women, I realized there was a big component of teaching them to find courage - it wasn't just teaching them the skills of skiing and flying kites, it was teaching them to find the courage to overcome the fears that they had. That has translated really well to now, to the stage, sharing those same lessons for people in business and entrepreneurs who have a fear of failing and a fear of not being good enough. My specialty is helping people find courage to overcome their fears in life and business. After falling in love with a man from Montana, I started all over again here in the United States. In the last 3 years, I've taken speaking on as a bigger part of my business, stepping onto stages, doing podcasts, speaking at schools, and even traveling to schools in the Arctic of Alaska. I've written a children's book called Gale and the Red Kite of Courage about the simple joy of flying a kite and being connected with nature. Even after having three brain surgeries in 2024, I'm now in that time of life where I'm really giving back, raising money for charities, and sharing my message to as many people as possible.

Ten minutes with Jennie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being grateful every single day, keeping a smile on my face no matter what, and making sure that my life and my business are things I'm passionate about. I sell kites, I teach people to fly kites, I get to tell my adventurous stories on a stage - all of these have a theme of doing the things that I enjoy and sharing them with others. It's a mindset that goes much further than just being positive - it's about enjoying the challenge of life. I have a huge amount of energy, endless energy to be motivated, and that drives everything I do.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say find your passion. Find your passion and chase it. Follow it. Hang on to it. Because if we're passionate about what we're doing, we'll always be successful.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think that the biggest opportunity is being a woman, being a speaker. That's also a struggle, because the industry has traditionally hired a lot of men to speak on the stages, but I also see that as an opportunity. People want more women out there on stages, so I see that both as a positive and a negative. But I love a challenge, and I think that's very exciting to me.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

One of my biggest values is making sure the decisions I make are something that I would be proud of. I also value giving back to others. These principles guide both my work and personal life.
