What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a lifelong passion for working with people and helping organizations thrive. I entered this field 22 years ago with a company that provided strong foundational training, and I went on to earn multiple certifications while continually expanding my expertise. Over the course of my career, I worked my way into an HR Manager role, where I managed two manufacturing plants, one with 1,200 employees and another with 300, within the automotive industry. My experience spans the full scope of human resources, including writing employee handbooks, overseeing disciplinary processes, supporting and tracking management KPIs, and partnering with leadership on operational and employee relations initiatives. This breadth of hands on experience has positioned me well as I now transition into a consulting focused role, where I can leverage my background to support and advise organizations more broadly.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always be honest, remain respectful in every situation, and never be afraid to speak up.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is effectively managing and developing a diverse team of people while balancing organizational goals, employee engagement, and changing workplace expectations.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, family, and balance. As a parent of two children, I deeply value quality time together, whether that is spent hiking in the mountains or riding horses, and those experiences keep me grounded. Professionally, these values translate into leading with honesty, respect, and empathy, while striving to create environments where people feel supported, valued, and motivated to do their best.
