About Jennifer
Jennifer Carter is a Clinical Manager working in pediatric intensive care unit operations in Hollywood, Florida. She entered the healthcare field in 2018 and currently supports night-shift nursing teams by managing assignments, ensuring quality metrics and safe staffing, and providing leadership development. Carter earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health from the University of South Florida before completing a Master's in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and data analytics at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Her transition into management was driven by a desire to optimize workforce efficiency and support frontline providers more effectively than at the bedside. She maintains membership in the American Academy of Critical Care Nurses and remains active in community drives, including adopt-a-child and adopt-a-backpack programs for schools as well as holiday donations of care packages to the homeless. Carter advises professionals to stay humble, remain open to feedback, and continue learning to adapt to evolving challenges such as increasing patient acuity and generational differences in care delivery.
