Jennifer Cobb is a Senior Program Manager in Trust & Safety Operations at Eventbrite, where she leads initiatives focused on protecting the integrity of a global marketplace platform. With more than 10 years of experience at Eventbrite, she has developed deep expertise in trust and safety operations, risk management, marketplace integrity, and customer operations. Her work centers on building scalable enforcement programs, improving operational workflows, and creating systems that help prevent fraud, unauthorized selling, and platform abuse while supporting a safe experience for event creators and attendees. Throughout her career at Eventbrite, Jennifer has progressed through multiple operational roles, beginning in customer support before advancing into leadership and program management positions. She has led customer experience teams, managed operational improvement projects, and designed programs that enhance employee development, quality standards, and service efficiency. In her current role, she oversees Trust & Safety programs by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), streamlining investigation processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Product, Engineering, Payments, and Risk, and implementing solutions that improve consistency and decision-making across global operations. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Edgewood College and has built her career around adaptability, continuous learning, and collaboration. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my technical experience at Eventbrite and the confidence I gained through mentorship. Encouragement from my senior manager helped me voice my expertise more assertively, which supported my transition from customer support into a program manager role.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was to build confidence and recognize the value of my expertise. As a woman in professional settings, I was encouraged to voice my opinions more assertively and trust my knowledge. This guidance played a key role in my transition from customer support into a program manager position.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to embrace mistakes as part of the learning process, ask questions, and seek guidance. Don’t underestimate entry-level roles—they provide valuable opportunities to understand how a company operates and build meaningful relationships with mentors. Throughout my career, mentors at every stage have helped me grow, build confidence, and navigate new opportunities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field right now is managing constant change, from company transformations and evolving customer expectations to advancements in technology and AI. Staying current with innovation, adapting to new fraud detection methods, and remaining flexible through industry shifts are essential to continued success.

The values most important to me are teamwork, collaboration, and embracing new approaches. I believe strong partnerships, open communication, and a willingness to adapt are essential for personal growth and achieving success together.
