About Jennifer

Jennifer Dehart serves as the sales lead and public face of sales for Juno Child Disability, an innovative company in the employee benefits space dedicated to supporting families navigating childhood disability, severe illness, and unexpected medical challenges. As part of a small, mission-driven team, Jennifer oversees new business development, client implementation, employer education, and ongoing client relationships. She regularly leads webinars and conversations with employers to help organizations better understand how they can support working parents during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Jennifer began her career in nursing and healthcare, driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, before transitioning into the employee benefits startup space 15 years ago. Since then, she has built extensive expertise across multiple startups, with Juno representing her fifth startup experience. Her work centers on creating meaningful benefits solutions for employers, particularly those seeking to better support working mothers, who are often among the most impacted when a child experiences a severe illness, disability, or complex medical diagnosis. Jennifer’s approach is rooted in service first—focusing on understanding people’s needs and building trusted relationships rather than simply making a sale. Her dedication to this mission is deeply personal. After her daughter experienced a stroke as an infant and was diagnosed with special needs, Jennifer and her family faced the emotional and financial challenges that many families encounter when navigating disability without adequate support. That experience transformed her professional purpose and fueled her commitment to ensuring other families have access to resources she wished had been available during her own journey. She credits her success to her belief in making the world a better place and approaching each day with the goal of helping families gain the financial security and support they deserve.

Ten minutes with Jennifer

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my belief in making the world a better place and approaching each day with that purpose at the forefront. While sales, revenue, and business growth are important, my greatest motivation comes from creating a meaningful impact and ensuring families have access to the support and resources they need during some of life’s most challenging moments. My personal experiences have shaped my commitment to serving others and driving solutions that provide families with the support I wish had been available during my own journey.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to lead with service, and the business will follow. I believe that every conversation should be centered on genuinely helping employees and families rather than simply making a sale. By focusing on understanding people’s needs, building trust, and providing meaningful solutions, strong relationships and long-term success naturally follow.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My biggest piece of advice is to lead with purpose, not just performance.

Titles, quotas, and promotions matter, but the most fulfilling careers are built around solving real problems for real people. Find work that aligns with your values, and don't underestimate the impact you can have when you genuinely believe in what you're selling or building.

Don't be afraid to speak up, even if you're the youngest person in the room or don't feel like you've earned your seat yet. Your perspective is valuable, and confidence grows through action, not by waiting until you feel completely ready.

Finally, embrace resilience. Every "no" is an opportunity to learn, every setback is temporary, and every challenge helps you become a stronger leader. The women who make the biggest impact aren't the ones with perfect careers—they're the ones who keep showing up, keep learning, and keep advocating for the people they serve.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in employee benefits right now is redefining what it means to support employees and their families. For years, benefits have focused primarily on the employee, but today's workforce is looking for employers who recognize that family well-being directly impacts productivity, retention, and overall health.

At the same time, one of the biggest challenges is helping employers move beyond traditional benefits and adopt solutions that address real-life needs. Families are facing rising healthcare costs, caregiving responsibilities, and financial strain, yet many of the most meaningful gaps in coverage still exist.

I'm encouraged to see more employers asking, "What challenges are our employees actually facing, and how can we help?" That's the future of employee benefits—more personalized, more inclusive, and more focused on supporting people through life's most difficult moments. When employers invest in benefits that truly meet employees where they are, they don't just improve their benefits package—they build stronger, more loyal, and more resilient workforces.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are compassion, service, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am deeply committed to helping make the world a better place by ensuring families have access to financial support and resources when facing the challenges of childhood disability or serious illness. My personal connection through my daughter’s journey with special needs has strengthened my commitment to supporting families and creating solutions that provide hope, stability, and a sense of security during difficult times.
