Jennifer Dobrodziej is an accomplished research scientist with more than seven years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical drug discovery, specializing in oncology research, metabolic diseases, target validation, and assay development. As a Senior Scientist at Novartis, she contributes to scientific research aimed at advancing innovative treatments for patients. Throughout her career, she has held research positions at Novo Nordisk, Accent Therapeutics, Arvinas, and IsoPlexis, developing expertise in molecular and cellular biology, CRISPR-based genome editing, and preclinical drug discovery. Her work has supported research programs focused on identifying and validating therapeutic targets, developing experimental assays, and investigating promising approaches to treating complex diseases.
Jennifer holds a Master of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences, with a concentration in microbiology, from Quinnipiac University. She also earned undergraduate degrees in forensic science and biology, which established the foundation for her scientific career. Her professional experience at Accent Therapeutics was particularly influential in expanding her technical capabilities and understanding of the business and financial considerations involved in biotechnology research. Motivated by a desire to understand the broader challenges facing drug development, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance at Southern New Hampshire University. By combining her scientific background with financial knowledge, Jennifer hopes to develop a deeper understanding of sustainable research funding and the business strategies that help promising discoveries progress toward patient care.
Driven by curiosity and a commitment to improving patients' lives, Jennifer finds purpose in contributing to research that may lead to better treatments and give families more time together. Her interest in oncology is partly inspired by the loss of her grandmother to skin cancer, an experience that strengthened her determination to support meaningful advances in medicine. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she enjoys baking and cross-stitching, activities that reflect her creativity, patience, and attention to detail. She has also supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through fundraising walks and philanthropic activities associated with Delta Phi Epsilon International Sorority. Through her scientific expertise, continued education, and dedication to research with meaningful patient impact, Jennifer remains committed to advancing scientific innovation and contributing to a healthier future.
