About Jennifer
She is a dedicated and accomplished educational leader with over 18 years of experience in K-12 education, currently serving as School Principal at San Antonio ISD, where she has provided strategic leadership, instructional guidance, and operational oversight since 2021. Prior to this role, she spent nearly nine years at Southwest ISD in progressive leadership positions, including Assistant Principal, District Reading Specialist, and Campus Reading Specialist, where she developed deep expertise in literacy instruction, curriculum development, and school improvement. She began her career as a classroom teacher at Harlandale ISD, building a strong foundation in instructional practice and student engagement. She holds a Master of Education in Reading Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University and completed Principal certification at Texas A&M Kingsville. She is recognized as a visionary, student-centered, and equity-driven leader who is deeply committed to fostering academic excellence, teacher development, and creating inclusive, high-achieving school environments where every student can thrive.
