Her Story
About Jennifer
Coming from a background of 31 years in active addiction and time in penitentiaries, I now help people with compassion and empathy in their recovery. I work at Continuum Behavioral Health, the same organization where I was once a client. I bring lived experience and evidence-based techniques to meet clients where they are without judgment. I specialize in pregnant and postpartum women through a residential program.

Ten minutes with Jennifer
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to really finding my value and looking in my heart to see what my heart's desires were. It's about connection and closeness of family and nurturing of family. Making community my entire family, where you can walk anywhere in my town and everybody knows who I am.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Your past no longer defines you, and stick to your dreams. We can make opportunities where there's no opportunities, and we can do anything we put our mind to.
