Jennifer Green

I have been in financial services for over 25 years, and I've lived in all segments of the industry - the career system, the independent space, the banking channel, and wirehouse. My journey began with ADP in Retirement Services, then moved to HSBC on the bank side for wealth management. I spent 14 years with MetLife, which was the majority of my career. When MetLife sold to MassMutual, a colleague and I decided not to stay because it didn't align with our philosophy and the type of business we wanted to conduct. We transitioned to the independent space and helped build Stratos Wealth Partners, one of the top RIAs in the country. I spent six years with Jeff, the president and CEO, building out the Northeast. Tompkins courted me for a year and a half, and I made a personal decision to be closer to home and reduce my travel. I've been with Tompkins Financial Advisors for six years now. While I consider it a step back from the independent space, it provided the balance I very much needed after missing sports and activities with my daughter. As Managing Director, I lead a team of 12 in the Central New York market. I'm a servant leader who stays hands-on and in the trenches with my team. I maintain my own book of clients because I feel that having my finger on the pulse and working with clients helps me lead the team with better perspective. My day is spent doing joint work, business development activities, and removing obstacles for my all-male team so we can all focus on what matters - the client and growing the business.
